Typification, in sociology, refers to the fact that the bulk of life-knowledge refers not to the individual or unique qualities of things or persons, but to their typical or broad features. A stereotype is a one-sided, exaggerated and normally prejudicial view of a group which is usually associated with racism or sexism. DA
