|
Norms, in sociology, are rules of conduct which provide guidelines for appropriate behaviour in a range of social contexts. A norm may prescribe a type of behaviour or forbid it. All human groups follow definite types of social norm which are supported by a range of sanctions ranging from public disapproval to execution. DA
