Conscience |

Conscience is the (supposed) faculty by which one is aware of the moral status of one\'s own actions. It is the faculty by which one is aware that one morally ought, or ought not, to have acted as one actually did, and by which one is aware that one morally ought, or ought not, to perform some possible action.
